This course runs once a week for two and half hours over a 7 week period with the no class between week 5 and 6 to allow for the bisque firing of work ready to be glazed on the final session. Learn, refresh and refine your throwing skills; you will explore how to make a variety of forms using a range of techniques and processes.
This course is for people who have had some previous experience on a wheel or none at all.
Each attendee will have up to 5 pots fired.
What to bring? All tools and materials will be provided. Wearing old clothes that can get mucky is advisable. Please bring your own apron and towel to each session.
Collection: Ceramic work will be ready 4 weeks after the final workshop to allow time for pieces to be fired. Pots can be collected from the studio at CAST during Open Access Sessions on Monday and Thursday evenings 5:30pm – 8:30pm and Friday afternoons 1:30pm – 4:30pm.
£240 includes tuition, equipment, materials and firing of 5 pieces.
