Mug and Handle Pulling Workshop | Spring 2024 quantity

This workshop runs over two consecutive Saturdays for two and half hours each day. This is a two-session course: in the first session you will learn the basic steps of how to throw different mug shape forms on the wheel, you will then come back the following Saturday to learn how to pull handles and attach them. Your pieces will then be glazed using one of our in-house glazes by us, unless you would like to glaze it yourself in which case you could book onto one our glaze workshops.

Each person will have 2 mugs glazed and fired with our in-house glaze.

This class is for all abilities.

What to bring? All tools and materials will be provided along with an apron. Wearing old clothes that can get mucky is advisable.

Collection: Ceramic work will be ready 4 weeks after the final workshop to allow time for pieces to be dried, fired, and glazed. Pots can be collected from the studio at CAST during Open Access Sessions on Monday and Thursday evenings 5:30pm – 8:30pm and Friday afternoons 1:30pm – 4:30pm.
